Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Inked (inked.lv) is operated by [Company name] SIA, reg. no. [registration number], Latvia (“Inked”, “we”). Contact: info@inked.lv. By creating an account you agree to these terms.

2. What Inked is (and isn't)

Inked is an online platform where tattoo artists present their work and manage bookings, and clients find artists and request appointments. We are an intermediary only: the agreement for any tattoo work — including its price, execution and payment — is made directly between the artist and the client. Inked is not a party to it, takes no commission on it, and does not process payments for tattoo work.

3. Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• Provide accurate information and keep your account secure — we offer optional two-step verification in your account settings.
• One account per person; you are responsible for activity on it.
• Impersonation, spam, harassment, or illegal content lead to content removal and account suspension or termination (see §9).

4. For clients

Client accounts are free. Booking requests are commitments to appear: confirm only times you intend to keep, and cancel as early as possible if plans change. Artists see your rating summary from past bookings when deciding whether to accept your request.

5. For artists — subscription

• Listing in search and accepting bookings requires an active subscription: €14.99/month, after a free trial (length shown at checkout; no charge during the trial).
• The subscription renews monthly and can be cancelled any time via “Manage subscription” — cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. No refunds for partial months, except where the law requires.
• Right of withdrawal: if you subscribe as a consumer, you may withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving reasons by emailing info@inked.lv. Since the trial is free, withdrawal within the trial costs nothing.
• If the subscription lapses, your profile is hidden from search and new bookings close; your data, existing bookings and messages remain intact and everything reactivates when you resubscribe.

6. Your content

You keep all rights to content you upload. You grant Inked a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host and display it for operating and promoting the platform. Upload only work you created and have the right to show; where a tattoo photo identifies a client, ensure you have their permission.

7. Search results & ranking

Search results are filtered by the criteria the user chooses (country, city, style) and ordered by profile creation date (newest first). Ratings do not influence ranking, and ranking cannot be bought. All subscribed artists are treated equally.

8. Ratings (karma)

• Ratings can only be given after a booking that actually took place, was cancelled, or was a no-show — one rating per finished booking per participant.
• Ratings must reflect a genuine experience. Comments are shown anonymously to the other side's future counterparts.
• Manipulating ratings (fake bookings, trading positive ratings, coercing removal) is prohibited.
• We remove ratings that are unlawful, defamatory or demonstrably fabricated — report them to info@inked.lv.

9. Moderation, suspension & termination

We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these terms or the law. For artist (business) accounts we give 30 days' notice with reasons before terminating the account, except where a legal obligation or a serious violation (fraud, illegal content, repeated infringements) requires immediate action. You can contest any moderation decision at info@inked.lv; we review complaints within a reasonable time.

You may delete your account at any time in your account settings or by emailing us.

10. Liability

Inked is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the outcome, quality or safety of tattoo work, for artists' availability, or for content posted by users. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under EU or Latvian law, including your statutory consumer rights and liability for intent or gross negligence.

11. Data protection

How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Disputes & law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia; disputes go to the Latvian courts. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protections of your country of residence and may turn to the Latvian Consumer Rights Protection Centre (ptac.gov.lv) or the equivalent body in your country. We first try to resolve any issue directly — write to info@inked.lv.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we give at least 30 days' notice by email or on the site; continuing to use Inked after the effective date means acceptance. If you disagree, you may delete your account (artists: cancellation per §5 applies).
